Real Web Surfers don't Read, they Scan
Give them a layout that works.
Don't force your users to do a bunch of reading to figure out what to do next. Make the next step obvious. Every single page of a website should have a clear "Call to Action" for what to do next. For example, this page calls you to visit the gallery pages. This technique of providing users with constant visual hints promotes exploration and clickthrough rates.
